Travel Itinerary
When we talk about Turkey, we don't immediately think of snow and winter, but from December to April 70 percent of the country is covered in a deep white. Our longtime friend and mountain guide Mathe Knaus will take you far away from mass tourism to remote ski touring destinations in the Aladaglar Mountains in central Turkey. Our peaks reach up to almost 4000 meters.
You will fly from your home airport to Istanbul. From there we all have a short domestic flight to Kayseri. There we will be picked up by our driver and in a good 2 hour drive we will reach the village of Selim, which is also the starting point of our first ski tour - Mt. Hasan. The next 6 days will be ours to explore the most beautiful peaks of the Aladaglar Mountains at altitudes between 3200 and 3700 meters on skis. On the final day of the trip, weather and conditions permitting, we plan to climb the extinct volcano Mt. Erciyes at 3916 meters. The following day we start our journey home via Istanbul with many beautiful memories.
Accommodation
Throughout the trip we are accommodated in mountain huts or small hotels.
Early in the morning we are strengthened for the day with a rich breakfast. A packed lunch helps us throughout the day and in the evening we look forward to a delicious, freshly prepared dinner. In the hotels we are accommodated in double rooms, in the mountain huts there can also be up to a maximum of 4 people per room depending on occupancy.

Requirements
- Experience in ski touring, 1500 meters of ascent should not be a problem.
- Good skiing technique in any terrain.
- Experience in skinning with ski crampons
Participants
The minimum number of participants is 5, maximum 8 people.

Travel Preparations
Meeting Requirements and Fitness Level
A realistic self-assessment and an appropriate fitness level is required to join our trips. In order to enjoy a long day of skiing and to reduce the risk of injury, it is important to get in shape and possess a good level of fitness.
Travel Requirements
EU citizens, as well as Swiss nationals, do not require a visa. A valid passport is sufficient.
Bürger mit EU Reisepässen sowie CH Bürger brauchen für Georgien nur einen gültigen Reisepass. Ein Visum ist nicht notwendig.

In addition to travel cancellation insurance, comprehensive medical and accident insurance that cover the costs of search and rescue, as well as transport costs, are imperative.
