Icy cold in Kazakhstan

Up to minus 30 degrees!

Just in time for our arrival there was a major snowfall and then high pressure weather. The Kazakh Altai welcomed us with frosty cold temperatures and a landscape covered in deep snow - powder as far as the eye could see. After two days of freeriding in a small ski area, we headed to our lodge in the middle of nowhere and from there went on lonely ski tours day after day. The slopes in the best snow. There was no sign of the icy cold in our accommodation, it was heated up properly and at around 25 degrees it was very easy to relax and enjoy the evenings.
