Price: 890 EUR
Since the cable car to the Hockenhorn has been completed, we enjoy coming to the “Lötschental” over and over again. A comfy and traditional valley with almost endless opportunities to ski in open terrain. However you should bear in mind that such a small valley can get quite busy quickly during holiday times or weekends. In such cases it might be necessary to put the skins under the skis and climb up a bit to find the untracked powder we are looking for and that makes us smile so much.
The Lötschental offers a big variety for freeriding: from the top of the Hockenhorn down to the valley floor 1700 vertical meters of best freeride playground is waiting for you to be ripped. Another highlight is the trip past the Gitzifurggu to Leukerbad with a healthy meal in the cozy Lötschenpasshütte, the descents takes us along the mighty Balmhorn with its impressive south face. Not to forget the run from the Tennbachlicka…from the top we admire the huge Bietschhorn and then we just enjoy the skiing back down. If the conditions are good, one or two helicopter flights to the Petersgrat and to the Ebnefluh are possible. The freeski runs from the landing points back to the Lötschental lead through wild alpine landscapes, that are part of the UNESO world heritage.
- Safe and speedy skiing in all kinds of terrain and snow and freeride experience is required
- Climbs on skins of up to an hour are possible, in rare cased even longer depending on the prevailing conditions. Climbing skins and a Freeride touring binding therefore are essential.

Please note the following three points after your booking:
A good or very good physical shape =>
A realistic self-assessment and an appropriate fitness level is required to join our trips. In order to enjoy long ski days you need to get in shape and train prior to the trip. A good fitness also reduces the risk of injury.
Information about the destination, vaccinations, health =>
Please keep yourself updated about the current (political) situation and country specific particularities of your destination. You can do so by checking the website of the ministry of foreign affairs of your own country.
Travel insurance =>
Please note that there is a potential risk of injury on a ski trip. When travelling abroad several travel insurances are imperative. Besides a travel cancellation insurance we highly recommend a travel health insurance as well as a travel accident insurance. These insurances need to cover potential costs for search and rescue operations and costs for hospital stays etc. It is your own responsibility to make sure you are covered accordingly.
For all of our trips that include a flight, a travel accident and travel health insurance that cover potential costs for search and rescue operations and medical costs (for example hospital stays) is mandatory. The insurance will be queried in our online registration form and we kindly ask you to fill in that information.
Appropriate insurance companies you can find in the internet. Please also check your credit card, eventually the according insurances are included.
