Since the last 13 winters, we were absolutely impressed by the amount and quality of the powder on Japan´s northern island Hokkaido. If a place on earth can say “we have the lightest powder” for sure, it is here. With an annual snowfall of about 20 meters, the region around Niseko is one of the snowiest places on the planet. Due to its setting it is a very favored place. From November until April huge amounts of fresh and light powdersnow are guaranteed. Probably the most known place on Hokkaido is Niseko, although there are many other smaller places that are really worth going like Rusutsu, Kiroro and Kokusai. If you love to ski in heavy snowfall through perfectly gladed terrain, I am sure you will discover the ultimate conditions with us here on this Hokkaido roadtrip.
After your arrival at Chitose Airport (Sapporo), we will drive by minivan for about 3 hours through snowy landscapes to Furano. Here we check in to our comfortable hotel for the next 4 days. Depending on weather and snow conditions we are able to choose between 4 different ski resorts. Right behind our hotel Furano Resort is located and especially on days with snowfall an area we should go to. Alpha Resort with great northern runs is located around 40 minutes driving away from our lodge. Another area with excessive snowfalls and the typical Japanese Onsen is called Asahidake. On your fourth day we travel via Sapporo to Niseko, which takes around 5 hours. For sure, Niseko is one of the best freeride spots on Hokkaido. During the next 3 days, we will be able to get to know the best runs of Niseko, Rusutzu and Kiroro. We are based at Niseko Grand Hotel, a typical japanese style hotel with Onsen. After our final ski day we will head back to Chitose City, where we will spent the last night. The evening we will enjoy with a nice japanese style dinner in the lively city. The next morning our flight will depart back to our home destination.
Please be aware with this trip changes of schedule might happen, due to weather and road conditions.

Please note the following three points after your booking:
A good or very good physical shape =>
A realistic self-assessment and an appropriate fitness level is required to join our trips. In order to enjoy long ski days you need to get in shape and train prior to the trip. A good fitness also reduces the risk of injury.
Information about the destination, vaccinations, health =>
Please keep yourself updated about the current (political) situation and country specific particularities of your destination. You can do so by checking the website of the ministry of foreign affairs of your own country.
Travel insurance =>
Please note that there is a potential risk of injury on a ski trip. When travelling abroad several travel insurances are imperative. Besides a travel cancellation insurance we highly recommend a travel health insurance as well as a travel accident insurance. These insurances need to cover potential costs for search and rescue operations and costs for hospital stays etc. It is your own responsibility to make sure you are covered accordingly.
For all of our trips that include a flight, a travel accident and travel health insurance that cover potential costs for search and rescue operations and medical costs (for example hospital stays) is mandatory. The insurance will be queried in our online registration form and we kindly ask you to fill in that information.
Appropriate insurance companies you can find in the internet. Please also check your credit card, eventually the according insurances are included.
