Ski & Sail Spitsbergen

Unusually lots of drift ice...

...made sailing a little more difficult on this year's trip. So we had to take one or two detours to get to our ski touring destinations. Thanks to our experienced skipper Andrezey, this wasn't a problem and so the group climbed a few lonely peaks and, when the weather was nice, was able to enjoy the fantastic view of the endless expanse in Svalbard. In addition to birds and reindeer, the group was even able to observe a curious arctic fox, which curiously examined the boat's anchor lying on the pack ice. Boat life has a special charm and welds a group together into a real team within a short period of time. And so the trip to Spitsbergen was once again a very special and unforgettable one.
