At the end of October we had a visit from the "Midlife Shredders" from Luxembourg. Their trip to Finale was got cancelled due to heavy rain and while looking for an alternative destination they came across the Vosges and us as a provider. At short notice we organized 3 days of shuttle riding and together we rode a firework of trails in the middle of a forest that was also like a fireworks display... the trees were yellow, red, brown, green, the sky steel blue. Indian Summer at its best.
In the end the Midlife Shredders agreed: the Vosges have at least as much to offer as Finale and they are already set to come back :)
