A splendid start to winter

Our first long-haul trip in the winter season 2021/22 took us to Russia on Lake Baikal. Flory has come to appreciate and love the mountains around this huge lake on numerous previous trips and so after a few years of abstinence it was time to pay a visit to this area again. Thanks to the best conditions and the warm hospitality of the locals, the old love at Flory was quickly rekindled. But also our guests during these two weeks "fell in love" quickly with the mountains, the views of the lake and the countless dreamy powder slopes back to our cozy hut in the middle of nowhere. There, after a relaxing Russian sauna, our cook was waiting for us with all kinds of delicacies, which he prepared with a lot of passion during our ski tour.

All in all, the reunion with Lake Baikal remains very impressive in our memories, so that we will certainly be drawn to Lake Baikal again next year.
