This trip is also part of the "Homeland of Guides" campaign. Our long-time friend and mountain guide Christl Kohler knows the most beautiful spots in his home country. These days we are going with him as a local to the most beautiful peaks and the most interesting descents in this beautiful region...
We avoid Sundays, which are usually well attended, so the trip takes place from Tuesday to Saturday. The chances of untracked powder are thus increased.

We take four days to get to know the different freeride areas in the Walsertal and will select the best options depending on the conditions. Thanks to years of freeride experience in his home valley and the necessary knowledge of the terrain as a local, we have a real ace up our sleeve. The Walsertal has everything a freerider could wish for. From wide, open powder slopes and steep gullies in alpine terrain, to beautiful, moderately steep alpine meadows and perfect tree runs like in Canada. Depending on the weather, snow and avalanche conditions, Christl chooses the best area for each freeride day.
Some beautiful descents can only be reached with short ascents on skins. This is mostly rewarded with the first line in untouched powder snow. There are also breathtaking descents in a massive mountain landscape far from the crowds, ending with a short taxi ride back to the ski area. If you also want to discover the secret corners of the Walser Valley, this trip with Christl is the right choice.
Our Hotel
On this trip we are accommodated in the best located Auenhütte. Hut may not be the right word for this accommodation, but tradition and modernity have been beautifully harmonized here. A rich breakfast buffet strengthens us for the day and in the evening we look forward to a hearty, delicious dinner. Finally, we let the day come to an end with a drink in the cozy lounge.
Please note that there is only a very limited amount of single rooms available!

Requirements
- Good and safe skiing technique in any terrain away from the slopes. Freeride experience is required.
- Since the really good runs in the Walsertal are a little away from the ski lifts, short climbs of up to one hour are possible. For this, skins and walking bindings or snowshoes/splitboard for snowboarders are required.
Participants
We offer this trip to a minimum number of 5 and maximum of 6 participants.
Included in the Price of 1290 EUR
- 4 nights in a double room with half board in the "Auenhütte"
- 4 days guiding by UIAGM mountain and ski guide Christl Kohler
- Safety equipment (avalanche transceiver, probe, shovel) on loan, must be registered at least 30 days before the trip.

Requirements and Fitness Level
A realistic self-assessment and an appropriate fitness level is required to join our trips. In order to enjoy a long day of skiing and to reduce the risk of injury, it is important to get in shape and possess a good level of fitness.
