Our Northern Experience Skitouring week way above the polar circle in Norway we will offer you some of the finest skitouring in Europe. All our targets are located in the provinz of Troms, with the largest most northern city in the world, Tromso. Very close to the charming city the mountains reach already hights above 1500 Meters. Of couse in April skiing down to Zero is always possible. On the whole trip we will try to stay flexible in order to find the best snow and the best runs. Some of the highlights of the week will be Skitouring on the island Kagen, where great skiing gets combined with spectacular views down into deep blue fjords. Another “must” of this trip will be the peaks above the turquise Grodfjord with its whitesanded shorelines. Our nights we usually spent in small fishing villages in guesthouses. An 8 seater van will take us from place to place. Requirements
- Uphill climbs between 1,000 and 1,500 vertical metres per day or up to 5 hours
- good skiing technique and experience in skitouring
The service package of 1,490 EUR includes
- 8 overnights in Kopangen Brygger cosy chalets
- 8 days guiding by UIAGM mountain guide
- all transfers with the van from Tromso Airport
- all transfers by motorboat
- all ferries and road tolls
- safety equipment (LVS device, shovel, probe) on loan (needs to be registered at least 10 days prior to travel)
