2012: 4 x Top Graubünden I

With our “4 x Top Graubünden” journey, we want to show you the best freeride areas in Graubünden. We will be based centrally in the small mountain village of Bergün at the Albulapass. Bergün is an absolute insider tip for freeriders. From Piz Darlas there are long hillsides down to the valleys Val Tisch and Val Tuors. These runs are only very rarely skied by freeriders. But not only Bergün has a lot to offer, within 25 minutes of train ride we reach St. Moritz, Davos or Lenzerheide. All the other resorts have incredible potential for nice freerides.

The next day we will take the “Rhätische Bahn” (train), that takes us St. Moritz within just 30 minutes. There we will find excellent terrain at Piz Nair. The third day we will spend at Lenzerheide, only 20 minutes from Bergün. If the conditions are good, we have planned the highlight of the “Tschirtschen round trip”. On the fourth day we will visit the Rienerhorn in Davos. Here there are plenty of excellent freeride runs, for example the run down to Sertigtal. If you would like to get to know a variety of freeski runs, these 4 days are right for you.

Requirements

good skiing technique, some freeskiing experience in open terrain is of advantage
climbs on foot of up to 30 minutes are possible.

The price of 690 EUR includes

4 overnights with half board in double rooms
4 days guiding with UIAGM mountain and skiing guide

How to get there

Autobahn (motorway) St. Margarthen – Chur, then head towards San Bernardino, turn-off at Thusis, then towards Tiefencastel, then another 12 km to the Albulapass. We will meet on the 15/02/2012 at 7 pm in Hotel Albula in Berguen.
