2012: La Grave Freeride Week

La Grave: every freerider needs to have been here at least once in his life. The steep northern runs with their gigantic vertical metres make La Grave one of the best freeride spots in the Alps and beyond. From the upper station at the Dome of Lauze at a height of 3,500 metres, there is a variety of excellent downhill runs towards La Grave, ranging from rather moderately steep to very steep. The runs Trifides, Glacier de la Girose and the run to St. Christoph, the cast-away mountain village, are only some of the highlights. We will pass one skiing day in one of the neighbouring skiing areas of Les 2 Alpes or Alp d’Huez. Just in case the weather is not perfect, we can still reach Les Monitiers within few driving minutes. Here we will find a great wooded freeride area.

Requirements

speedy skiing, also in off piste terrain
Uphill climbs of up to one hour are possible.

The service package of 1,070 EUR includes

6 overnights with half board in double rooms
6 days guiding by UIAGM mountain and skiing guide
safety equipment LVS device, shovel and probe on loan (needs to be booked at least 10 days before travel)

How to get there

Motorway Basel – Genf – Grenoble, turn off towards Briancone, after about 90 km you will reach La Grave. We will meet at about 7 pm on 04/03/2012 in Auberge Edelweiss.
